We’re excited to share our dream of Building the Greatest Small City for the Arts in America right here in Iowa City.
Strengthen • Grow • Evolve is a collaborative campaign led by two Iowa City-based arts nonprofits, The Englert Theatre and FilmScene. Together, we’re seeking investments in major capital projects, innovative programming initiatives, and strategic planning to better align all local arts nonprofits towards more efficient and collaborative models.
Ultimately, this campaign will benefit more than the two organizations in question: it will have a positive effect on our collective cultural institutions. It will be the first step towards a better allied, more productive arts culture. The campaign aims to inspire, as a case study for how local nonprofits with shared goals and unique missions can work together to streamline more effective branding, fundraising, and programming efforts.
Through these investments and partnerships, we will lay the foundation for Building the Greatest Small City for the Arts in America—right here in Iowa City.
